This paper discusses Japan's economy. Japan's economy was traditionally one of the strongest in the world - in fact, it is second only to the USA in terms of Gross National Product or GNP (Kinboshi Media 2002). Its main exports were cars, electronic devices and computers, more than one quarter of which were imported by the USA, its most important single trade partner. On the other hand, its most important imports were raw materials like oil, foodstuffs and wood from the USA, China, Indonesia, South Korea and Australia. Its major industries, up to the present, are manufacturing, construction, distribution, real estate, services and communication (Kinboshi). Japan's prosperity derived from foreign trade, through which it developed into an industrialized state and a key figure in international trade. It was the imbalance between its export and import that brought trouble and weakened its economy in the 90s.

54 Toddlers' Nutrition.
This is a research paper on toddlers' nutrition with a questionnaire. According to the United States Department of Agriculture, barely ? of all toddlers and preschoolers today eat a balanced diet (Schaaf 2002) -- a serious health concern to all, especially to parents. Undersecretary of Food, Nutrition and Consumer Services Shirley Watkins ascribes the situation to the fact that, when these young children stop being breastfed and start receiving baby foods in jars, their regular servings of milk, fruits and vegetables do not replace the nutrients they used to get from breast milk and these jarred baby foods. There, too, is the greater nightmare called (a) failure to thrive (FTT), an alarming condition that develops from organic/genetic or environmental causes, or both. FTT is construed when a child's weight is less than 5% of the norm for his/her age, when she or he is 95% smaller than those of his/her age or weighs 2% less than the rest in his/her age group (Gale 1998). Nutrition is vital for children.

63 Case Studies of Organizations Adopting New Technologies.
This paper is on case studies of organizations that adopt new technologies. The demand for technology service is booming. It's a $250 billion marketplace growing at more than 20% a year overall with growth rates in the Internet Services area exceeding 50% each year. (Bartlett, 2001) "Technology no longer just supports business strategy-it drives business strategy." Wireless technology is a business fact. It's the way forward-looking companies around the world are doing business today, and it's the way they will be doing business tomorrow. Global competition means that wireless technology is the way every surviving firm will be doing business tomorrow. Wireless companies need to advance the technology that their customers are looking for. They need to be specific in their choices. My research has shown me that technology is all about the customers and the technology users and less about the companies providing the services.

191 E-Commerce Or Electronic Commerce.
This paper is on e-commerce. E-commerce, short for electronic commerce, is not something that is exclusive to the Internet. Technically, "e-commerce" refers to the exchange of goods or services for money via electronic means. Such means can include the telephone as well as a personal computer. So calling up a company and placing an order out of a catalog is also considered to be a form of e-commerce-a form that was frequently, if not widely used, in the days before the Internet, but a form of e-commerce nonetheless.

262 Juvenile Probation Officers.
This paper discusses juvenile probation officers. In 1999 nearly 1.5 million delinquency cases were handled by juvenile courts. Virtually every one of those cases had contact with a probation officer at some point. Probation departments screened most of those cases to determine how they should be processed, made detention decisions on some of them, prepared investigation reports on most of them, provided supervision to over a half million of them, and delivered aftercare services to many of the juveniles released from institutions. Since probation has been the overwhelming dispositional choice of juvenile and family court judges. The average caseload is 41 juveniles.
