This paper discusses one of the greatest doctors of the Catholic Church, St. Thomas Aquinas. He says that evil is not an essence, form or substance, which goodness possesses. Rather it is the absence of that goodness, or the "privation of good (Aquinas). God creates a created thing or creature for a purpose and that purpose is necessarily good, because God created it, and that creature's nature is directed at that purpose, which is good. When the creature, by his or her own free will, decides not to opt for that purpose - directly or indirectly - he or she violates his or her own nature, which is aimed or directed towards his or her own good, and therefore, commits evil. It is through the vehicle of the human will, which is free, that evil occurs. But evil has no purpose or substance of its own, because and therefore God did not create it. Neither does He allow it. It exists only because the human will, which is free, opts for it.

The Program combines eating the right foods, exercising, and balancing one's life. (Cable News Network 2001) According to its creator, it focuses on lifestyle itself, not the short-term or quick fix methods offered by other Programs. Clients are subjected personal one-on-one consultations at its centers in four countries where the clients' individual requirements are discussed and their balanced diet menus are planned.

65 Questions And Answers.
This paper answers three questions. Question one addresses Ferry's theory of civilization and his belief that there are inferior races, and he suggests that the superior races have a duty to make it all fit. The second question addresses the question on what is the Third Estate. The Third Estate is the work that sustains a society. The Third Estate is needed to complete a nation. The Third Estate is a little bit of everything, It's the land and the water; it's the people living under the common law of the nation; it's the hard work and labor that goes into maintaining the land; it's the laws of the countryside; it's the merchants that sell goods. The Third Estate is ominous; it's necessary to a nation. The third question is to pretend that you are Spencer. This is the part of the program that is most striking to me. The diffusion of education is at the heart of this matter. The hard-worked and overburdened are the most educated; while the under-utilized person who wants to be educated and wants to work is not being used at all.

81 Roy, A Nursing Model.
This paper discusses Sister Callista Roy and her history as a nursing model. Her Adaptation Model had spread far and wide by 1981 and she and her colleagues started giving consultations to other schools on it. Many schools adapted it and soon she was a speaker through the Continent and in other countries. Her other ensuing engagements include a two-year postdoctoral program in Neuroscience Nursing at the University of California at San Francisco where she developed the concept of a holistic person. (Office of the Nurse Theorist); teaching at the graduate level at the same University and at Boston College.; co-chairing Knowledge Conferences hosted by the Boston College School of Nursing from 1996 to 1998 and from 2000 to 2001; and progressively expanding and upgrading her Model.

88 Dispute Resolution.
This paper discusses the importance of dispute resolution in the workplace. This is a virtual workplace dispute that occurred in 1974 in a London-funded population control agency in a Southeast Asian country. The population program at that time was at its height and the continued existence of this agency hinged on the number of acceptors (of family planning methods) it could gather. The main office in London required better performance from the local agency: their number of acceptors was un-impressive in proportion to the population. The managing director looked far and wide for a good information officer and tried a few, but these would leave the agency quickly. None of these made clear what drove them away. Solutions were needed to solve this problem.

104 Democracy In China.
The focus of this paper is democracy in China. The democratization of Communist China is neither likely nor feasible. Not in the foreseeable future. It was a brilliant and promising move when former President Richard Nixon first established ties with Communist China in 1972 as "one dictatorial power playing over another dictatorial power" (Boycott China 2002) as a face-saving act during the Vietnam War fiasco and at a time that Russia was on the offensive. During the Reagan administration, China began evolving into a freer and more open society, hinting at an evolving democracy. The American people had hoped to help build that democratic society and thought it would happen then. Today, President Bush's government wants to establish a free trade agreement with China so that it will be more dependent on us and become freer, more prosperous and more peaceful.

106 Gone With The Wind.
This paper discusses the novel Gone with the Wind. Houghton Mifflin had scheduled the publication of Alice Randall's story, entitled "The Wind Done Gone," in June last year when the lawyers of Margaret Mitchell's estate - represented by Sun Trust Bank -- sought for and obtained a preliminary injunction in April, stopping its publication (Associated Press 2001). Margaret Mitchell was the author of the classic novel and very famous movie, "Gone with the Wind," in 1939 and Alice Randall wrote "The Wind Done Gone" in 2001. The estate's lawyers held that Randall violated the Copyright Law by plagiarizing Mitchell's novel and that it was not simply a case of free speech, as claimed by Randall.
