This paper gives the viewpoint of evolution versus creationism. Biological evolution or evolutionary biology is genetic change in a population occurring from generation to another (O'Neill 2002). All life forms evolve and continue evolving from earlier species, and these life forms include human beings. Most biological scientists concur that the earliest life forms on earth evolved from chance natural occurrences 3 1/5 to 4 billion years ago. They agree that evidence for evolution comes from fossil records of change, the chemical and structural similarities of related life forms, the recorded genetic changes in living organisms for many generations (O'Neill) and the geographic distribution of these related species. In effect, this Supreme Court ruling could neither prevent public schools from teaching the creation theory nor ban the teaching of the evolution theory. Both subjects are taken off the standard tests of public schools, and the local school board decides what should be taught (youdebate.com).

70 Profile: Claire Jopling, Health Systems Manager.
This paper is a profile of Claire Jopling, Health Systems Manager. "I sell (negotiate contracts and present clinical information) pharmaceuticals to large hospital systems including Department of Defense hospitals, teaching institution hospitals (medical schools and their affiliated hospitals), the VA hospitals, and I train and assist the local field reps in selling pharmaceuticals to the community hospitals," This profile explains the tasks that Claire does as a Health System Manager. "The pharmaceutical industry has proven over several decades to be a very profitable industry to be involved in." She continued. With a little more thought, Claire and I agreed that many companies spend millions of dollars a year on research alone. With many new discoveries presently being made in biotechnology, hypertension, mental illness, cancer, cardiology and AIDS research, many new products are continuously being developed. All of which are creating new employment opportunities. This paper is descriptive and thorough in giving the details of Claire's job and her reactions during the interview.

88 Dispute Resolution.
This paper discusses the importance of dispute resolution in the workplace. This is a virtual workplace dispute that occurred in 1974 in a London-funded population control agency in a Southeast Asian country. The population program at that time was at its height and the continued existence of this agency hinged on the number of acceptors (of family planning methods) it could gather. The main office in London required better performance from the local agency: their number of acceptors was un-impressive in proportion to the population. The managing director looked far and wide for a good information officer and tried a few, but these would leave the agency quickly. None of these made clear what drove them away. Solutions were needed to solve this problem.

257 Does America Need a Major Third Party?
This paper is an opinion-based paper answering the question: Does America need a major third party? Local communities look to economic development to assure protection of the environment and workers' rights; broad citizen participation in planning; and enhancement of our "quality of life." Do current parties support independently owned and operated companies, which are socially responsible, as well as co-operatives and public enterprises that distribute resources and control to more people through democratic participation? This is one of the reasons we need a third party.

314 Hero Worship: The Good News and The Bad.
The focus of this paper is the sports hero in the American Culture. The days of Americans worshipping athletes like "Joltin' Joe" DiMaggio, and "Broadway" Joe Namath appear to be over, right? Well, not quite. Attendance numbers, television ratings and merchandise sales are at an all-time high in the sports industry. Fantasy sports leagues and home video games in which fans can manage or even be their favorite players are wildly popular with fans of all ages. And perhaps the most upsetting indication that hero worship is alive and well, is the fact that increasing numbers of young athletes are bypassing college in order to achieve their dream of playing professional sports. In turn, sports heroes themselves are getting younger and younger. In the following pages, I will discuss these disturbing trends more closely, by tracing their roots, examining the present state of affairs, and predicting the future of the sports hero.

338 The Jewish Immigrants.
In the wake of World War II and the horrible events of the Nazi holocaust, millions of Jews were left not only homeless, but without a homeland. Despite difficulty and danger, many Jews made the pilgrimage back to EretzIsrael (The land of Israel), the birthplace of the Jewish people. This influx of Jewish Immigrants did not sit well with the local Arab population and tensions grew between the two sides, causing the United Kingdom to pull out of Palestine and place it under United Nations supervision, with the hopes that the UN could more effectively oversee the cooperation of Arabs and Jews. However, Arabs and Jews continued to disagree on how, or if, to divide Palestine and skirmishes continued to break out between the two sides.
