This paper gives the viewpoint of evolution versus creationism. Biological evolution or evolutionary biology is genetic change in a population occurring from generation to another (O'Neill 2002). All life forms evolve and continue evolving from earlier species, and these life forms include human beings. Most biological scientists concur that the earliest life forms on earth evolved from chance natural occurrences 3 1/5 to 4 billion years ago. They agree that evidence for evolution comes from fossil records of change, the chemical and structural similarities of related life forms, the recorded genetic changes in living organisms for many generations (O'Neill) and the geographic distribution of these related species. In effect, this Supreme Court ruling could neither prevent public schools from teaching the creation theory nor ban the teaching of the evolution theory. Both subjects are taken off the standard tests of public schools, and the local school board decides what should be taught (youdebate.com).

42 William Shakespeare.
This paper is a biography of William Shakespeare. He may be lauded as the author of popularly admired literature done by any individual in the history of Western civilization. (Grolier 1996) He may be the most influential writer in all of English literature or the most important dramatis and poet of the English Renaissance. (Spark notes) But William Shakespeare will still be, to most, the greatest playwright of all time. He was, in fact, a public and critical success (Spark Notes) in the field of theater, particularly as a favorite of both Elizabeth I and James I who reigned in succession (1558- 1603 and 1603-1625, respectively), King James granting Shakespeare's company with the royal status as king's players. For this, Shakespeare was immensely popular and wealthy till his death in 1616, but such popularity cannot compare with that which has survived him today and not just in England, but also throughout the world.

61 Decameron and Women.
This paper discusses Giovanni Boccacio's "The Decameron," and the role that women are betrayed. Women as persons have never been adequately deciphered because they have never merited that interest to be deciphered as persons. If the inequality between men and women still endures today, how much more was it the situation in the distant past. The ruthlessness of Boccacio's characters in treating women, the straitlaced manner of having them behave in courts, the severity with which women were expected to behave in public and in personal life and their passage from one rule to another all tell us that women have not been considered equal to men, although they have shaped the world together and designed by destiny to be equal in all things and in all ways.

74 Othello: A Man of Great Power and Weakness.
This paper is on Othello from Shakespeare. Othello will forever go down in the books as one of Shakespeare's most remarkable characters. Not only did he enjoy great success on the battlefield, but also he gained much respect in Venice as a most powerful general. "The Moor's military proficiency placed him in a class by himself in the same way his ethnicity distinguished him from his Venetian counterparts." (Harbage, 1964) He was a Black Moor but celebrated for the simplest things about him. In the end, it is those simple qualities; the romantic and aspect about himself, that eventually bring him to his end. In the play, he's a warrior; he's the epitome of a professional soldier. He risks his lifetime again in the war against the Turks. For Othello, the war is not simply a job or a task; it's a way of life. But Othello is also a common man, despite his great expertise as a soldier. Othello won great respect and admiration for many noble reasons, but it was mostly for his amiable personality and kindness that seemed endless. Othello achieves great satisfaction in his life, in part because of the power and respect he receives from others. His public image is one of great dignity and nobility; everyone seems to admire him. The Venetian senate unanimously approved of him.

75 Marijuana Legalization: An Argument Against It.
This paper argues against marijuana legislation and explains why. Marijuana is the most commonly abused drug, but it doesn't really provide freedom from anything. It only adds the pressures and angst of life both physically and psychologically; this is why I'm against the legalization of it. The vast majority of people around the world oppose drug legalization. The use of illicit drugs is illegal because of their intoxicating effects on the brain, damaging impact on the body, adverse impact on behavior, and potential for abuse. Marijuana use threatens the health, welfare and safety of everyone and should not be legalized. If we legalize this substance we are encouraging and making available the use of a substance with harmful side affects. And aren't there enough of those out there already. Our people do not need any more ways to harm themselves or the society in which they live. Whenever persons are under the influence, they pose a threat to themselves and others. We don't need more intoxicated people on our streets, at public events, or driving on our highways.

90 Socrates.
The topic of this paper is Socrates. To pander" means to give in or to serve the cheaper or lower desires and tastes of others and to use their weaknesses for the benefit of the "pander." A "pander" is a middleman between a person who wants to buy cheap pleasure and the person who wants to sell it. The pander is a pimp. Socrates considered the oratory as cheap as this because the listeners of an orator simply listened to his ideas and did not send back their opinion and reactions to the orator to accept or reject it. He viewed orators (or the Sophists of his time) as speaking without interest to the truthfulness of what they said before others, but only to influence them to accept their thinking. This spread of wrong thinking or false information was, to Socrates, the greatest evil. He added that, even if the orators (or Sophists) were able to influence their listeners, it did not work for them, because they spoke and did the false things that were not for their good.

103 Ulysses Grant.
This paper focuses on Ulysses Grant. The 18th President of the United States, Ulysses S. Grant, was a most curious American public figure. His two presidential terms are considered by political critics as the most corrupt in American history, yet his contribution and role in those most important and historic times cannot be under-estimated.
