This paper discusses leeches as life-and-limb-savers. Blood clotting is a life-saving body process, but when it endangers life or prevents the resolution of a torn tissue, leeches can come in handy. They have shown their worth as natural blood thinners, painkillers and surgical scavengers with the anticoagulant and anesthetic properties of their saliva. These saliva components hold much promise for the "treatment of cardiological and hematological disorders." Today, the Hirudo Medicinalis species of leech is a reliable last resort when something is needed to overcome the clotting mechanism, something that thins the blood or decongest clots. Using its two suckers to feed and to hang itself, the leech secretes Hirudin, an anti-coagulant and anesthetic, while it sucks blood from the host. When it has sucked enough, it just falls off from the host and leaves blood oozing fresh from its bite wound. Although this may sound horrible sometimes it makes a difference between life and death.

64 Loss Of Hearing.
This paper is about hearing loss. Five steps are, thus, involved in the hearing process. which are the air conduction through the external ear to the eardrum; the bone conduction through the middle ear to the inner ear; the water conduction to the Organ of Corti; the nerve conduction into the brain; and finally, the interpretation by the brain of the message received through the sound waves. We are all familiar with the three structural parts of the ear, i.e., the outer ear, the middle ear and the inner ear. In the process of hearing, we already know that it is in the outer ear that sound waves collect and from there are moved to the middle ear by vibrating against the eardrum or tympanum membrane. In the middle ear, these sound waves are changed into a mechanical type of vibration by the tiny bones there. And in the inner ear are special so-called "hair cells" that perceive these mechanical vibrations from the middle ear and trigger an impulse that is send to that specific part of the brain that hears.

138 A Summary of "The Architecture Profession."
This paper will summarize the article, "The Architecture Profession." This paper will highlight important points and show the relationship between the Architecture Profession and all other professions. One of the main roles of the architect is to balance the constraints between Clients and Project Workers. The building architect is more visible in this process than is the software architect, partly because their focuses are different. The software architect is focused on building a robust product in terms of the technology in vogue, while the building architect is more directly concerned with aesthetics and conceivably with economics. Building architects are more likely to shape the structure to requirements than are software architects; other considerations, like the domain and solution technology, provide the structural constraints for the software architect.

208 Feedback And Reinforcement.
This paper discussed feedback and reinforcement. Theorist Skinner suggested that feedback was widely misused as reinforcement. However, Skinner also suggested reinforcement as control over changes in the environment and made it sound very much like a feedback variable. But, the two constructs -- feedback and reinforcement - are two entirely different theories and labels for behavioral processes and should never be used as synonyms. This was the point of contention in Skinner's argument. An argument, I have to agree with. Although, these processes may be somewhat similar, they are not the same thing. Today's investigation allow us to describe certain aspects of feedback and reinforcing processes as similar, as they both contain informational qualities.

283 Shakespeare: A Comparison between Play and Film.
It's not an easy feat, translating Shakespeare from play to film, but many have tried. While many of Shakespeare's works have been translated to film, this paper will concentrate on Romeo and Juliet. Romeo and Juliet is one of Shakespeare's greatest told stories, one that has withstood the holds of time again and again, even in film. Like all turn-of-the-century movies, the Shakespeare film still hadn't reached the stage of telling a story in pictures. Moreover, to make a silent movie based on the work of England's greatest poet-dramatist seemed so crazy that filmmakers. The process of messing with musical accompaniments, sound effects, phonographs, intertitles, and supplementary lecturers seem overwhelming to the film industry of this time.

393 Shakespeare and Iambic Pentamenter.
This paper discusses Shakespeare and iambic pentamenter. Meter is the regular rhythmic pattern of a speech, or poem, or in the case of Shakespeare, a play. Iambic pentameter is one of the most common metrical schemes in English, because it sounds the most like ordinary speech. It only makes sense that Shakespeare would choose to write his plays in such a way that the words would sound natural coming out of the mouths of the actors, and yet retain a poetic quality that adds a greater depth and sense of drama to their meaning. Of course, people do not always rhyme their sentences when they speak, and therefore it makes sense that Shakespeare would choose to write his plays largely in what is called, blank verse. That is, iambic pentameter that does not rhyme. There are exceptions, of course.

699 IBM e-business.
Some businesses found out that the payoffs to be had from ERP turned out to be less than professed. Numerous manufacturers realized the fact that they wanted still more software supply chain management and customer-relationship management, for example to do the things they thought they should have been able to do with their precious, apparently all-encompassing ERP. Cutting out the middle leaves a null and void that automated, Web-enabled, front- and back-office operations have completed.
