This paper is on acoustics and listening quality. A number of factors go into the design of concert halls and rooms to enhance their potential for listening quality. The sheer number of these factors have meant that designers face a number of difficulties in designing their listening spaces. As this essay will argue, the design of spaces to enhance their listening quality depends to a great degree upon a variety of these acoustical factors.

72.19026 Architectural Acoustics and Concert Halls.
This paper is on architecture, acoustics, and concert halls. One of the most important factors involved in the propagation of sound in an enclosed space is reverberation. This is the effect of sounds persisting for some time after the arrival of the direct sound wave as a result of the strength of multiple reflections of the sound off the walls and other surfaces in a room. To put it simply, the longer a sound is bounced around in a room, the longer is its reverberation time (Hall, p.432).

This paper discusses the meaning of order in relation to architecture. This paper also looks at order in ancient art and the meaning and perception of order. Architecture is a reflection of the combination of spiritual and mortal associations with the physical environment. For this we look at order, we see the order of things is positively influenced by environment and time. In many instances, order is apprehended first of all by the senses. The observer perceives an organized structure in the shapes and colors or sounds facing him. In ancient times, temples housed images of the gods and were decorated with sculpture and paintings. Painting also flourished on vases, which were important articles of trade. Sculpture, inspired by the monumental stone sculpture of Egypt and Mesopotamia, the Greeks began to carve in stone. Freestanding figures share the solidity and frontal stance characteristic of Eastern models, but their forms are more dynamic than those of Egyptian sculpture, as for example the Lady of Auxerre and Torso of Hera.

77.137 A Summary of "The Architecture Profession."
This paper will summarize the article, "The Architecture Profession." This paper will highlight important points and show the relationship between the Architecture Profession and all other professions. The teaching of Architecture is a complex process, just as the teaching or schooling for any other profession is. Its considerable creative demands must be backed by an understanding of science, mathematics and engineering. While most subjects can depend on words to transmit information, the multi-disciplinary nature of architecture demands that students comprehend abstract concepts, processes, visual images and physical objects, which means that educators must augment written and spoken language with images, drawings and 3D models.
